Wisdom speaks, our hearts it seeks
To all who listen, it loudly speaks
From the highest heights, it calls out loud
To the people, it makes itself proud
Wisdom is more precious than silver and gold
In it, we find the truth we’ve been told
By wisdom, rulers rule and judges judge
It’s the foundation on which we don’t budge
I am understanding, I am wisdom’s friend
With me, right paths you’ll always ascend
I love those who love me, those who seek me find
Riches and honor, to them, I’ll be kind
The Lord possessed me at the beginning of His way
Before His works of old, I was there to stay
I was beside Him as a master craftsman
And I was daily His delight and joy, man
Blessed is the one who listens to me
Watching and waiting for me constantly
For whoever finds me finds life and gains favor
From the Lord, our God, our loving Savior
So hear my words, and hear them well
Obey my voice, and from sin, repel
For I am wisdom, forever and always
In me, you’ll find peace that forever stays.
