Gods Wonderful Creation: You Are Fearfully and Wonderfully Made!

Possible Viewpont: Evangelical Christian

Title: God’s Wonderful Creation: You Are Fearfully and Wonderfully Made!

Introduction:
Hello, boys and girls! Today, we are going to learn about God’s amazing creation, and how special each one of you is to Him. Our Bible verse for today comes from Psalms 139:14, which says, “I praise you because I am fearfully and wonderfully made; your works are wonderful, I know that full well.” Isn’t it exciting to know that God made each one of us with love and care? Let’s dive into this lesson to explore more about how special and unique we are!

Lesson:

1. God’s Creation Story:
Let’s begin by reminding ourselves that God is the creator of everything around us. In the beginning, God spoke, and everything came into existence. He made the beautiful flowers, the vast oceans, the tall mountains, the buzzing insects, and all the animals. But the most special creation of all was you and me!

2. Fearfully and Wonderfully Made:
When the Bible says we are fearfully and wonderfully made, it means that God carefully crafted each one of us. Just like an artist creating a masterpiece, God designed every part of our bodies. He made our eyes to see the world, our nose to smell the flowers, our mouth to eat delicious food, and our hands to touch and feel. God made us unique and special, like no one else in this world!

3. Special Abilities and Gifts:
God not only wonderfully made our bodies, but He also gave us special abilities and gifts. Some of us may be good at drawing, writing, or playing sports, while others might have a talent for singing or being a good friend. These abilities and gifts are blessings from God, and He loves when we use them for good and to glorify Him.

4. Uniqueness and Acceptance:
Sometimes, we might compare ourselves to others and wish we were different or more like someone else. But remember, God created each of us uniquely, and He loves us just the way we are. We should be proud of who God made us to be and love ourselves as His precious creation. We should also celebrate and appreciate the uniqueness of others, just as God does!

Conclusion:
Boys and girls, today we learned that God’s creation is amazing, and you are a vital part of it! God carefully designed each one of you with love and attention to detail. You are fearfully and wonderfully made. So, embrace your uniqueness, discover your special abilities, and remember to love and accept yourself just the way God made you. Let’s thank God for His wonderful creation, including each one of us!

Prayer:
Dear God, thank you for creating us fearfully and wonderfully. Help us to appreciate the beauty and uniqueness in ourselves and others. Teach us to use our talents and gifts to honor and glorify You. In Jesus’ name, we pray, Amen.

Remember to engage the children by asking questions throughout the lesson and emphasizing the importance of thanking God for their uniqueness and abilities.

Object Lesson

Title: God’s Wonderful Creation: You Are Fearfully and Wonderfully Made!

Props needed:
1. A large mirror
2. A set of various colorful construction paper cutouts (representing different body parts)
3. A puppet or a stuffed toy representing a child
4. A magnifying glass
5. Small sticky notes or stickers

Introduction:
Begin by gathering the children around a table where the props are placed. Start with a warm welcome and introduce the topic of how special each one of them is to God. Explain that you will use some props to help everyone understand this truth better.

Illustration:
1. Mirror Reflection:
Hold up the mirror in front of the children, showing them their reflections. Ask them to observe their faces, hair, and other features. Emphasize that each person is unique and wonderfully made by God in His image. Point out that they can see themselves in the mirror because God made them just as they are.

2. Body Parts:
Next, show the set of colorful construction paper cutouts representing various body parts. Lay them out on the table. Begin by picking up one cutout and asking the children if they can name the body part it represents (e.g., a hand, foot, eye, etc.). Allow the children to take turns picking up the cutouts and identifying the body parts.

Explain how our bodies are made up of many different parts, and each part has a specific purpose given by God. Discuss how every body part, no matter how big or small, is vital and important for us to function and experience life.

3. Puppet/Stuffed Toy:
Introduce the puppet or the stuffed toy representing a child. Explain that just like the puppet or toy, God carefully created each of them. Talk about how He thoughtfully designed every detail, including their eye color, hair texture, and unique features. Encourage the children to embrace their individuality, knowing that God loves them just the way they are.

4. Magnifying Glass:
Bring out the magnifying glass and explain that sometimes we need to take a closer look to appreciate the extraordinary details of God’s creation. Begin examining the different parts of the puppet/stuffed toy with the magnifying glass, highlighting details like fingerprints, freckles (if any), or the texture of their hair and clothes. Encourage the children to appreciate the intricate details that God has woven into their lives.

Conclusion:
Wrap up the illustration by distributing small sticky notes or stickers to each child. Instruct them to write or draw something they appreciate about themselves. Explain that they can use these notes as reminders of God’s love for them and His special design in creating them.

Conclude with a prayer, thanking God for fearfully and wonderfully making each child and asking Him to help them celebrate their uniqueness. Remind the children that they are precious in God’s eyes and encourage them to embrace and love themselves just as God does.

Note: Adapt the content and props based on the age and understanding of the young children.

Craft Idea

Craft Idea: Nature Collage

Supplies:
– Construction paper or cardstock
– Assorted magazines or old newspapers
– Scissors
– Glue sticks
– Markers or colored pencils

Instructions:

1. Begin the activity by discussing Psalm 139:14 with the children, emphasizing that God created each of us fearfully and wonderfully. Talk about how God’s creation extends beyond humans to include the beauty of the natural world.

2. Explain that you will be creating a nature collage to celebrate God’s wonderful creation.

3. Give each child a piece of construction paper or cardstock as the base for their collage.

4. Encourage the children to use the magazines or newspapers to cut out various pictures and images of nature that they find beautiful or interesting. This can include images of landscapes, animals, flowers, trees, or any other aspect of nature they connect with.

5. Once they have a nice collection of cutouts, instruct them to arrange and glue the images onto their paper base. They can overlap and layer different pictures as desired.

6. While the collage is drying, invite the children to use markers or colored pencils to write or draw anything that comes to mind when they think about being fearfully and wonderfully made by God. This can include favorite Bible verses, personal reflections, or illustrations.

7. Encourage the children to share their completed collages and talk about what they included. Prompt them to discuss the diversity and beauty of God’s creation and how each of them is a unique and valuable part of it.

8. Close the activity with a short prayer of gratitude for God’s wonderful creation and for creating each child fearfully and wonderfully.

Note: Remember to ensure the safety of the children by providing age-appropriate scissors and monitoring their use.
