Title: God Made Me Perfectly: Overcoming Insecurities About Our Appearance

Introduction:
Hello, children! Today, we are going to talk about something that affects many people, including young children like yourselves. We are going to talk about insecurities about our appearance. Sometimes we may feel bad about the way we look, and it can make us sad, shy or embarrassed. But the good news is that God made each one of us perfectly, and there is nothing to be insecure about!

Bible Verse:
“I praise you because I am fearfully and wonderfully made; your works are wonderful, I know that full well.” – Psalm 139:14

Story:
There was a little girl named Sarah who was very insecure about her appearance. She didn’t like her curly hair and her glasses because she felt like they made her look different from everyone else. She would often try to hide her glasses and straighten her hair, but she still didn’t feel good about the way she looked. One day, as she was feeling sad, her mother told her about how God made each of us special and unique. She told her that God made no mistakes, and that Sarah was perfectly made just the way she is. She reminded her of the verse from Psalm 139:14.

After hearing this, Sarah started to feel better about herself. She realized that God made her just the way he wanted her, and that there was nothing she needed to change about her appearance. She was able to embrace her curly hair and her glasses, and she felt much happier and confident.

Lesson:
Like Sarah, we may sometimes feel insecure about our appearance. But we need to remember that God made us perfectly with our own unique traits and characteristics. We should learn to embrace our appearance and be happy with the way we look. Instead of focusing on what we don’t like about ourselves, we should focus on the things we do like and be proud of them. It’s important to remember that God loves us just the way we are and he made us exactly how he wanted us.

Conclusion:
So, children, let’s remember that we are all fearfully and wonderfully made by God. We should be proud of who we are and the way we look. We should embrace our insecurities and remember that God loves us just the way we are. With God’s help, we can overcome our insecurities and feel confident in who we are!

2. Provide the children with the supplies and have them paint their jars in their desired color. Let the jars dry completely.

4. Cut small pieces of paper and have the children write down positive affirmations or bible verses that will lift their spirits when they are feeling insecure. Here are some examples to get you started:
– I am fearfully and wonderfully made. Psalm 139:14
– I am loved.
– I am strong.
– I am capable.
– I am beautiful inside and out.
5. Fold the pieces of paper and have the children put them inside their jars.
6. Encourage the children to keep their jars in a place where they can see them every day, and to read the affirmations or bible verses whenever they need a reminder of how special and loved they are.

This craft is a meaningful way to teach children about self-love and acceptance, and to help them overcome any insecurities they may have about their appearance.
