Title: God is Bigger than Any Monster

Bible Verse: “For God has not given us a spirit of fear, but of power and of love and of a sound mind.” – 2 Timothy 1:7 (NKJV)

Introduction:

Hello, my little friends! Today, we are going to talk about monsters. What are monsters? Have you ever seen one? Do they make you feel scared? Well, let me tell you something, God is bigger than any monster! He loves us and takes care of us.

Lesson:

Monsters can come in different shapes and sizes. Some may have big teeth or long claws, while others may be invisible and hide under our bed or inside our closets. When we think about monsters, we feel afraid, and that’s normal. But did you know that monsters are not real? Yes, they are just imaginary creatures created by our minds.

God, on the other hand, is real, and He is bigger than any monster that we can imagine. He is powerful and has no limitations. He is always with us, and He will never leave us. We don’t have to be afraid of monsters because God is always watching over us.

The Bible verse we read earlier in 2 Timothy 1:7, says that God has not given us a spirit of fear, but of power, love, and a sound mind. That means, we don’t have to live in fear of monsters or anything else because God has given us the power to overcome our fears. He loves us so much that He wants us to have a sound mind, free from fear and anxiety.

Conclusion:

So my little friends, always remember that God is bigger than any monster. He is always with us, watching over us, and protecting us from harm. We don’t have to be afraid of anything because we have the power of God in us. Let’s pray and thank Him for His love and protection. Amen.

Object Lesson

To teach young children that God is bigger than any monster, here’s an illustration using props:

Props:
– A cardboard box
– Scissors
– Glue or tape
– Black paint or markers
– Glow-in-the-dark stars
– A flashlight

Presentation:
1. Start by showing the cardboard box and ask the kids what they think is inside. Tell them it’s a monster!
2. Cut out some monster features from the box, like teeth, horns, and claws. Then, paint or draw them black.
3. Glue or tape the monster features onto the box, making sure it looks scary and fierce.
4. Show the kids how the monster glows in the dark, by sticking the glow-in-the-dark stars onto it and turning off the lights.
5. Ask the kids if the monster looks powerful and scary. They will surely nod in agreement!
6. Then, comes the big revelation. Turn on the flashlight and make it shine onto the monster. Ask the kids what they see. They will notice that the monster’s shadow is much larger and more impressive than the actual monster itself.
7. Explain that God is like the flashlight. Even though monsters may seem big and scary, when we shine God’s light on them, they become small and powerless.
8. Remind the kids that even though monsters may seem scary, they don’t have to be afraid because God is always with them and he is bigger than anything – even monsters.

With this prop-based illustration, young children will learn an important lesson and feel reassured that they can always turn to God for protection and comfort.
