I am a letter, written to a city,
With words of encouragement, warning, and pity.
My author is Paul, the apostle so wise,
I have five chapters, but can you surmise?

False prophets and signs, he warns and says.
The second chapter speaks of a great deceiver,
Who opposes God and will in time deliver.
The third chapter tells of prayers for Paul,
For his safety and to spread the gospel call.
I speak of the power of love and the strong,

I am often skipped over, in the Bible’s pages,
But my words are important, to teach throughout the ages.
