Author: Yes, of course. At the time when I wrote this Psalm, the people of Judah were facing great adversity. Jerusalem was under attack, and the people were terrified. I wanted to remind them that God was their refuge and strength, even in the midst of chaos and destruction.

Interviewer: And how did the verse “Be still and know that I am God” come about?

Author: Well, as I was writing, I felt the Holy Spirit prompting me to include those words. I knew that in order to truly trust in God, we need to be still and quiet our hearts. So often we try to control situations ourselves instead of giving them over to God. But in those moments of stillness, we can experience His presence and power in a way that is impossible when we are striving and worrying.

Interviewer: That’s a powerful message. How do you think it applies to us today?

Author: I believe that the message of Psalm 46:10 is just as relevant today as it was thousands of years ago. We are still faced with chaos and uncertainty in our lives, whether it be through personal struggles or global issues. But God remains the same, and He is still our refuge and strength. We can find peace and comfort in the midst of the storm by being still and knowing that He is God.
