In a world that often seeks to define people by their outward appearance or accomplishments, it can be easy to lose sight of the fact that our true worth is rooted in our relationship with our Creator. I hoped that this psalm would serve as a reminder to readers that they are fearfully and wonderfully made, and that they have a unique role to play in God’s plan.

Interviewer: How has this passage impacted you personally?

Author: Oh, it has had a tremendous impact on me. As I wrote this psalm, I came to a deeper understanding of God’s love for me as an individual. I realized that every part of me – my strengths and weaknesses, my personality, my quirks – were intentionally crafted by God. This realization has given me a sense of purpose and confidence that I never had before.

Interviewer: Is there anything else you would like to add about Psalm 139:13-14?

Author: Just that I hope readers will take these words to heart and know that they are beloved beyond measure. No matter what they have faced in life or what struggles lie ahead, they can trust in the God who created them and know that they are fearfully and wonderfully made.
