interview with the author of Matthew 4:4

**Interviewer:** Thank you for joining us today to discuss your work. In your gospel, you present a powerful moment when Jesus is tempted in the wilderness. Can you share with us the essence of what He said in Matthew 4:4?

**Author:** Absolutely, it’s a significant teaching moment. In that verse, Jesus responds to the tempter by quoting scripture. He says, “Man shall not live by bread alone, but by every word that comes from the mouth of God.”

**Interviewer:** That’s profound. What do you think He meant by that?

**Author:** Well, I believe Jesus was emphasizing the importance of spiritual nourishment over mere physical sustenance. Bread and food are essential for the body, but it’s the word of God that truly sustains our souls. **Interviewer:** Thank you for sharing that insight. It seems like a message that resonates deeply with many people today.

**Author:** It certainly does. The struggle between physical desires and spiritual priorities is timeless, and I hope that this teaching encourages others to find strength in their faith.
