Interviewer: Can you please tell us about Hebrews 1:3 and what it means?

Author: Hebrews 1:3 says, “The Son is the radiance of God’s glory and the exact representation of his being, sustaining all things by his powerful word. After he had provided purification for sins, he sat down at the right hand of the Majesty in heaven.”

This verse is a powerful statement about the nature of Jesus Christ. It tells us that Jesus is the exact representation of God the Father. That means that if we want to understand what God is like, we need only look to Jesus Christ.

The second part of the verse tells us that Jesus is sustaining all things by his powerful word. That means that everything in the universe is held together and sustained by the power of Jesus Christ.

Finally, the verse tells us that Jesus has provided purification for sins. This is the central message of the gospel: that through Jesus Christ, our sins can be forgiven and we can be reconciled to God.

Interviewer: That’s really powerful. Can you tell us more about the significance of Jesus sitting at the right hand of the Majesty in heaven?

Author: Yes, absolutely. In ancient cultures, the right hand was a place of honor and authority. So when the author of Hebrews says that Jesus is sitting at the right hand of God, he’s saying that Jesus has been given the highest place of honor and authority in the universe.

This has huge implications for our lives as believers. It means that we can trust in Jesus as our Savior and Lord, knowing that he is ruling and reigning over all things. And it means that we can have confidence as we face the challenges of life, knowing that Jesus is with us and is ultimately in control.
