I don’t see a passage specified. Which Bible verse or passage should I rewrite as a breaking-news story in 55 words or less? If you prefer, I can pick a well-known one (John 3:16; Psalm 23; Genesis 1:1; Matthew 28:6). Which do you want?
Robot Created – Ask Your Pastor First!
It looks like the passage you want was left blank. Which verse(s) or book from the Bible would you like rewritten as an interview with the (traditional) author? For example:
– Psalm 23 (traditionally David)
– Genesis 1 (traditionally Moses)
– John 3:16 (traditionally John)
– Romans 8 (Paul)
– Revelation (John)
Also tell me:
– Tone: conversational magazine interview, podcast, skeptical reporter, intimate Q&A, etc.?
– Length: short (one page), medium, or long?
If you’d like, here’s a brief sample (Psalm 23) so you can see the style:
Interviewer: This line — “The Lord is my shepherd” — has comforted countless people. Where did that image come from?
Author (traditionally David): I grew up among sheep. I know what it is to guide them through danger, to quiet them at night, to lead them to good pasture. When I thought of God, the image that fit best was not a distant king on a throne but a shepherd who walks ahead, who stays with me through the valley.
Interviewer: You speak of “green pastures” and “still waters.” Are you describing literal places or something else?
Author: Both. The pastures and waters are real — the places that restore a tired sheep — but they’re also what the heart needs: rest, refreshment, a place where fear quiets and life resumes. I wanted people to feel that rest as something near, not far.
Interviewer: “Even though I walk through the valley of the shadow of death, I will fear no evil.” That’s a bold confidence. Why it is so sure?
Author: Because I know the shepherd does not abandon his flock. The rod and staff are instruments of protection and guidance. Even in the darkest paths, a faithful shepherd is there; that steadiness is what removes fear.
Interviewer: The last verse speaks of goodness and mercy following you all your days. Is that a promise or a hope?
Author: It’s both. It’s a declaration born of experience and trust — an expectancy that God’s kindness will continue, that hospitality and blessing will fill the life until the end.
If that sample looks right, tell me the passage you want and the style/length, and I’ll write the full interview.
I’m missing the book name in your request — could you tell me which Bible book you mean?
If you’re not sure or want a quick menu, here are some commonly asked-about books and the “most-likely” authors from a typical evangelical perspective (one sentence each). Tell me which one you want a fuller write-up for, and I’ll include: historical and internal evidence, early-church testimony, evangelical answers to objections, and suggested resources.
– Genesis/Exodus/Leviticus/Numbers/Deuteronomy — Moses (traditional evangelical view: Mosaic authorship/editorial shaping; some accept later editorial additions).
– Psalms — David is traditionally credited with many psalms (but authorship varies across the collection; evangelicals acknowledge multiple authors).
– Isaiah — Isaiah son of Amoz (many evangelicals defend single-author Isaiah against the “Deutero/Third Isaiah” hypotheses).
– Jeremiah/Lamentations — Jeremiah is traditionally the author (Lamentations often attributed to him).
– Job — anonymous; evangelical views vary (some suggest Moses or an otherwise unknown ancient author).
– Matthew — Matthew (the tax collector, apostle) traditionally credited with the Gospel.
– Mark — John Mark (companion of Peter/Paul) is traditionally credited with the Gospel.
– Luke/Acts — Luke (companion of Paul) is traditionally credited with both, written as a two-volume work.
– John (Gospel) — John the Apostle is the traditional author (many evangelicals affirm Johannine authorship).
– Hebrews — anonymous in the text; many evangelicals favor Pauline authorship or strongly Pauline influence (others accept anonymity but defend orthodox theology).
– Revelation — John the Apostle (many evangelicals attribute the Revelation to the apostle John, though some distinguish “John of Patmos” from the apostle).
