Possible Viewpont: Anglican Christian

Title: The Sixth Trumpet: A Warning from God

Lesson Objective: To teach young children about the importance of listening to God’s warnings and being obedient to His word.

Introduction:
Today, we are going to learn about the sixth trumpet in the book of Revelation. In this trumpet, God gives a warning to the people on earth. Just like how our parents give us warnings to keep us safe, God gives us warnings to help us make good choices.

The Sixth Trumpet:
In the book of Revelation, the sixth trumpet is sounded and it is a warning to the people on earth. It is a reminder that God wants us to pay attention to His word and follow His commandments. The sound of the trumpet is a sign that we need to listen to God and be obedient to His will.

God’s Warning:
When the sixth trumpet sounds, there are scary things that happen on earth. God is trying to get our attention and warn us that if we don’t obey Him, there will be consequences. But just like how our parents warn us because they love us and want to keep us safe, God warns us because He loves us and wants us to make good choices.

Listening to God:
It’s important for us to listen to God’s warnings and be obedient to Him. We can do this by reading the Bible, praying, and listening to our parents and teachers who teach us about God’s word. When we listen to God and follow His commandments, we show Him that we love Him and want to obey Him.

Conclusion:
The sixth trumpet is a reminder that God loves us and wants us to make good choices. By listening to His warnings and being obedient to His word, we can show God that we love Him and want to follow His will. Let’s remember to always listen to God and be obedient to His commands. Thank you, God, for loving us and giving us warnings to keep us safe. Amen.

Title: The Sixth Trumpet: A Warning from God

Props needed:
– Small toy trumpet
– A picture of an army or soldiers
– A picture of a giant locust
– A picture of someone suffering from a painful sore

How to present the illustration:

Step 1: Start by showing the children the small toy trumpet and explain to them that in the Bible, there are seven trumpets mentioned in the book of Revelation. Each trumpet is a symbol of a warning from God.

Step 2: Show the children the picture of an army or soldiers and explain to them that the sixth trumpet is a warning about a great army that will bring trouble and suffering to the world.

Step 3: Show the children the picture of a giant locust and explain to them that the Bible also talks about strange creatures like giant locusts that will come out of the abyss and torment people.

Step 4: Show the children the picture of someone suffering from a painful sore and explain to them that the sixth trumpet also warns about people suffering from painful sores because of the troubles brought by the army and the strange creatures.

Step 5: Use the toy trumpet to make a sound and remind the children that just like how the sound of a trumpet warns people of danger, the warnings in the Bible are meant to help us understand that God wants us to be prepared and to turn to Him for help.

Step 6: Encourage the children to ask questions and share their thoughts about the warning from God and how they can be prepared for any kind of trouble.

By using these props and explanations, the children will be able to understand and remember the message of the sixth trumpet as a warning from God.

Craft Idea

Craft Idea: Trumpet Noisemaker

Supplies:
– Empty toilet paper roll or paper towel roll
– Construction paper in various colors
– Scissors
– Glue or tape
– Markers
– Stickers or decorative embellishments
– String or yarn

Instructions:
1. Begin by gathering the supplies and laying them out on a table or workspace.
2. If using a paper towel roll, cut it in half so that it is the same size as a toilet paper roll.
3. Have the children decorate the toilet paper roll or paper towel roll with markers, stickers, and other decorative embellishments. Encourage them to be creative and make their noisemaker unique.
4. Cut out a small circle from the construction paper to create the end of the trumpet. Glue or tape it to one end of the toilet paper roll to close it off.
5. Cut out a long, thin strip of construction paper to create the trumpet’s ‘handle’. Glue or tape it to the bottom of the toilet paper roll.
6. Once the noisemakers are decorated and assembled, have the children punch a hole at the end of the handle and attach a piece of string or yarn so they can wear it around their neck.
7. After the craft is completed, have a discussion about the lesson on ‘The Sixth Trumpet: A Warning from God’. Discuss the significance of the trumpet in biblical times and how it was used to signal important messages. Encourage the children to think about the warning from God and how they can heed it in their own lives.

Once the discussion is finished, the children can then use their noisemakers to create a joyful noise as a symbol of the trumpets sounding. This craft provides a fun, hands-on way for young Anglican Christian children to engage with the lesson and further understand its significance.
