Alright folks, gather round for a story about some wicked dung tenants. You see, there once was a householder who owned a beautiful vineyard. He left it in the care of some tenants while he went away on a trip.
Now, when it was time for the harvest, he sent his servants to collect his share of the produce. But these wicked tenants had other plans. They beat up the servants and sent them back empty-handed.
So, the householder decided to send more servants. But the same thing happened to them – beaten up and empty-handed. Then, the householder thought, “Ah, but they will surely respect my son.”
But when the son came, the tenants had an evil scheme. They said to one another, “Let’s kill him and take his inheritance.” So they did exactly that, throwing his body outside of the vineyard.
Now, here’s the thing. The householder had a vineyard full of dung. But what he wanted was fruit – that’s why he put tenants in charge, to get the job done. But they were too busy with their own wicked schemes.
As punishment, the householder will take away the dung and give the vineyard to those who will produce fruit. And anyone who goes against this will end up like the ones who killed the son.
So, friends, let this parable be a lesson to us all. Keep your eyes on the prize and don’t let greed and wickedness tempt you into losing sight of what truly matters. And if you happen to have a vineyard full of dung, work hard and produce some fruit – it’s what the householder expects, after all.
