The Unfruitful Fig Tree – Toilet Remix…

a Remix of the Parable found in Luke 13:6-9

Listen up, folks! So there was this toilet that a plumber had installed in a nice, clean bathroom. But for three years, it just didn’t function properly, no matter what the plumber did to fix it.

The plumber came back and saw that the toilet was still not working, so he said to the homeowner, “Look, I’ve been trying to fix this toilet for three years now, and it still won’t flush properly. It’s just taking up space and not serving its purpose. Let’s get rid of it and replace it with something that actually works.”

The homeowner agreed, and they removed the old toilet and replaced it with a shiny, new one that worked perfectly.

The moral of this story is that just like the unfruitful fig tree, if something isn’t serving its purpose and just taking up space, it’s time to let it go and replace it with something that fulfills its intended function.

the Original Parable found in Luke 13:6-9 (KJV)

He spake also this parable; A certain man had a fig tree planted in his vineyard; and he came and sought fruit thereon, and found none. Then said he unto the dresser of his vineyard, Behold, these three years I come seeking fruit on this fig tree, and find none: cut it down; why cumbereth it the ground? And he answering said unto him, Lord, let it alone this year also, till I shall dig about it, and dung it: And if it bear fruit, well: and if not, then after that thou shalt cut it down.
