The Avengers all gathered around to hear the story of the Bible book of Genesis. Thor volunteered to start, as he had some knowledge about gods and creation.
He began, “In the beginning, there was nothing but chaos, until the almighty God spoke and created the heavens and the earth.”
Hulk interrupted with a loud growl, “Hulk not understand. How can someone create something out of nothing?”
Black Widow explained to Hulk, “It’s called divine power, Hulk. It’s beyond anyone’s understanding.”
Ironman added, “Well, what I do understand is that God created Adam and Eve, the first humans, and gave them a beautiful garden to live in.”
Captain America was interested and asked, “What about the apple? I’ve heard of something about an apple.”
Thor chuckled and replied, “That’s right, Captain America. The devil in the form of a serpent tempted Eve to eat an apple from the forbidden tree of knowledge.”
Ironman quipped, “I wonder what Tony Stark would have done in her place?”
The team continued to listen as Hulk asked, “And what happened then?”
Thor continued, “God punished them and expelled them from the Garden of Eden. But, he still loved them and promised to send a savior, who would redeem them of their sins.”
Captain America nodded, “That’s a powerful story. It shows that even in our darkest moments, God still loves us and has a plan for us.”
Ironman joked, “I don’t know about you guys, but I’m just glad we don’t have to deal with talking snakes and forbidden fruit.”
The team laughed, but Thor warned, “Beware, Ironman. The devil, in whatever form, is always tempting and seeking to destroy us.”
And, as they all walked away from their conversation, Ironman couldn’t resist one last quip, “Well, I have a repentance fund for that just in case.”
