Six Degrees of Kevin Bacon with Eve from the Bible

Are you familiar with the "Six Degrees of Kevin Bacon" game? It’s a fun way to connect any actor or actress to Kevin Bacon in six or fewer steps. But what if we played this game with Eve from the Bible? Let’s give it a try!

Step 1: Eve to Adam
Eve was the first woman created by God, and Adam was the first man. They were also the first married couple in history. According to the Bible, Eve was made from one of Adam’s ribs.

Step 2: Adam to Noah
Adam and Eve had two sons, Cain and Abel. Cain killed Abel, and the Bible says that they had other children as well. One of their descendants was Noah, who was commanded by God to build an ark before a worldwide flood destroyed every living thing on earth.

Step 3: Noah to Abraham
After the flood, Noah’s family repopulated the earth. One of his descendants was Abraham, who is known as the father of the Jewish nation. God promised Abraham that he would make him a great nation and bless him.

Step 4: Abraham to Moses
Abraham’s great-grandson was Joseph, who was sold into slavery by his jealous brothers but eventually became a high-ranking official in Egypt. His descendants, the Israelites, were enslaved by the Egyptians until God sent Moses to lead them out of Egypt and into the Promised Land.

Step 5: Moses to King David
Moses led the Israelites for 40 years in the wilderness and received the Ten Commandments from God. After his death, Joshua led the Israelites into the Promised Land, where they were ruled by judges until they demanded a king. God chose Saul as the first king, but eventually, David became king and is considered one of the greatest kings in Israel’s history.

Step 6: King David to Kevin Bacon
King David was the father of Solomon, who succeeded him as king. The Bible says that Solomon was the wisest man who ever lived and built the first temple in Jerusalem. Fast forward to Kevin Bacon, and did you know that he has a degree in Theater from the prestigious Circle in the Square Theatre School in New York City?

Wrap up with a Bible verse related to Eve
As we played the "Six Degrees of Kevin Bacon" game with Eve from the Bible, we were reminded of the many fascinating stories and characters in the Bible. But at the center of it all is God’s love for all of His creation, including Eve. In Genesis 1:31, it says, "And God saw everything that he had made, and behold, it was very good." Let’s remember that we are fearfully and wonderfully made in God’s image and loved by Him.
