The Forgiveness Quilt – a Matthew 18 Craft

Materials Needed:

• Fabric squares or felt squares
• Fabric markers or Sharpies
• Thread and needle or hot glue gun
• Scissors
• Ribbon or twine

Instructions:

1. Begin by cutting out fabric squares in various colors or using pre-cut felt squares.
2. Using fabric markers or Sharpies, write forgiveness quotes or Bible verses on each square.
3. Cut out a large square or rectangle of fabric to serve as the base of the quilt.
4. Arrange the smaller squares on the base fabric, creating a pattern or random design.
5. Once you are satisfied with the layout, attach the smaller squares to the base fabric using thread and needle or hot glue gun.
6. Cut lengths of ribbon or twine to serve as ties for the quilt.
7. Attach the ties to each corner of the quilt, knotting them securely.
8. Hang the quilt in a prominent place, as a reminder of the importance of forgiveness and reconciliation.

Optional:

• This craft can be adapted for a group or classroom setting by having each person decorate their own square and then combining them to create a larger quilt.
