"Redeemed by Grace" – a Romans 5 Craft
Materials Needed
- Red construction paper
- White cardstock
- Scissors
- Glue
- Markers or pens
Instructions
- Cut a heart shape out of the red construction paper.
- Cut out the word "REDEEMED" from the white cardstock.
- Glue the word "REDEEMED" onto the center of the heart.
- Write "BY GRACE" underneath the word "REDEEMED" using the markers or pens.
- Cut out small strips of white cardstock.
- Write different verses from Romans 5 onto each strip of paper, such as:
- "But God demonstrates his own love for us in this: While we were still sinners, Christ died for us." – Romans 5:8
- "For if, while we were God’s enemies, we were reconciled to him through the death of his Son, how much more, having been reconciled, shall we be saved through his life!" – Romans 5:10
- "Not only so, but we also glory in our sufferings, because we know that suffering produces perseverance; perseverance, character; and character, hope." – Romans 5:3-4
- Roll up each strip of paper and glue them onto the back of the heart, creating a "scroll" effect.
Display Options
- Hang the completed craft on a bulletin board or wall.
- Place the heart and scrolls in a frame for a more permanent display.
- Give the craft as a gift to someone who needs a reminder of God’s redeeming grace.
