"Living Hope" – a 1 Peter 3 Craft
Materials:
- Small flower pot
- Soil
- Flower seeds
- Paint or markers
- Paintbrushes or markers
Instructions:
- Begin by painting or marking the phrase "Living Hope" onto the outside of the flower pot. This phrase is taken from 1 Peter 3:15 "But in your hearts revere Christ as Lord. Always be prepared to give an answer to everyone who asks you to give the reason for the hope that you have. But do this with gentleness and respect".
- Once the paint or marker has dried, fill the pot with soil.
- Place a few flower seeds into the soil and cover them lightly with more soil.
- Water the soil and place the pot in a sunny spot.
- As the flowers grow, they will serve as a reminder of the living hope we have in Jesus Christ. Just as the flowers grow and bloom, so too can our hope in Christ grow and flourish.
Optional:
- You could decorate the pot with additional Bible verses or encouraging phrases related to hope.
- For younger children, you could simplify the craft by having them paint the pot and then adding pre-grown flowers.
