Comfort & Encouragement – a 2 Corinthians 1 Craft
Materials Needed:
- Blanket or fabric square
- Fabric markers or paint
- Scissors
- Glue
- Cardstock or construction paper
- Bible verses printed or written on paper
- Decorative stickers or embellishments
Instructions:
- Begin by laying out the fabric square or blanket on a flat surface.
- Using the fabric markers or paint, write or draw encouraging words or images related to 2 Corinthians 1 on the fabric, such as "comfort," "strength," or "hope."
- Cut out small pieces of cardstock or construction paper and write out verses from 2 Corinthians 1, such as "Praise be to the God and Father of our Lord Jesus Christ, the Father of compassion and the God of all comfort, who comforts us in all our troubles, so that we can comfort those in any trouble with the comfort we ourselves receive from God" (2 Corinthians 1:3-4).
- Glue the Bible verses onto the fabric, creating a collage effect.
- Add decorative stickers or embellishments to further personalize the craft.
- Allow the glue to dry completely.
- Once dry, wrap the blanket or fabric square and gift it to someone in need of comfort and encouragement. Encourage them to use it as a reminder of God’s love and comfort during difficult times.
