A letter to Phil from Santa with 41 days until Christmas

Ho ho ho! Hello Phil — it’s Santa writing all the way from the North Pole! I hope you’re snug and smiling as you read this. I can hear the jingle bells already and I wanted to write you a special letter to say how proud I am of you for being kind and cheerful this year.

A little secret about me: my workshop is busier than ever! My elves and I make toys, paint, and sometimes we do silly elf-dance contests (they’re very wobbly). My reindeer love crunchy carrots and singing carols while I check my list — twice, of course. Mrs. Claus bakes the yummiest cookies and letters like yours are my favorite treat.

Want to hear a Santa joke? Why did Santa go to music school? Because he wanted to improve his “wrap” skills! Ho ho ho — I hope that made you giggle. Laughter and joy are two of my favorite sounds on Christmas Eve.

I read letters from children like you every night, and I know what makes Christmas sparkle — not just presents, but hearts full of love. I’ve seen you share your toys, help a friend, or give a hug when someone needed one. Those moments are as bright to me as the North Star.

Speaking of the North Star, the real Christmas miracle began a long time ago in a little town called Bethlehem. The Bible tells us that on a holy night a special baby was born — Jesus — and that his birth brought hope and great joy to the world. Angels sang, and people rejoiced because God had sent a gift to all of us.

The true meaning of Christmas is that God loves each of us so much that he gave us Jesus. Jesus showed us how to love others, to be kind, and to forgive. When we share, help, and care for people — that’s how we celebrate Jesus’ gift. Presents and cookies are wonderful, but love and kindness are the very heart of Christmas.

So this year, keep your bright smile, be brave and gentle, and look for ways to share with others — a helping hand, a kind word, or a prayer. I’ll be watching the stars and flying my sleigh, bringing a little magic to the night, while remembering the greatest gift of all: Jesus. May your Christmas be full of wonder, love, and the joy of giving.

Merry Christmas – The Savior is Born, Santa

P.S. “Today in the town of David a Savior was born to you; he is the Messiah, the Lord.” — Luke 2:11
