A letter to Lisa from Uncle Sam with 91 days until July 4th

Dear Lisa,

Greetings from the land of the free and the brave! I, your Uncle Sam, am excited to write to you about our beloved Independence Day, which we celebrate every 4th of July. This day marks the birth of our nation, when we, Americans, declared our independence from Great Britain in 1776. It’s a day of festivities, parades, fireworks, and most importantly, a day to remember and honor the sacrifices made by our founding fathers to secure our freedom.

Now, let me share some fun stuff about myself. You might have seen me in pictures, dressed in red, white, and blue, with a top hat and a white beard – I’m that guy! I’m not just a symbol, I’m a real person, just like you, passionate about America and its values. Oh, and here’s a clean joke for you: Why did Uncle Sam wear red, white, and blue suspenders? To hold up his Constitution, of course!

Speaking of values, let me tell you why freedom and independence are so important, not just to Americans, but to all people. The Bible teaches us that God created us with free will, which means we have the ability to make choices, good or bad, and live with the consequences. However, our freedom is often under threat from those who would seek to oppress us or control us for their own benefit. That’s where independence comes in. When we stand up for our rights and demand to be treated as equals, we are asserting our independence and affirming our dignity as human beings made in God’s image.

As an American, I’m proud to say that our country was founded on these principles of freedom and independence, and we continue to strive towards them every day. We believe in the power of the people to shape their own destiny, and we celebrate our diversity and individualism as sources of strength, not weakness.
