Dear Hope,
Merry Christmas! I hope this letter finds you well and filled with joy as we approach the most wonderful time of year. My name is Santa, and I’m writing to you from my home in the North Pole. I bet you already know a lot about me – I deliver presents to children all around the world each year! But what you might not know is that I love to play a good game of checkers, and I have a sweet tooth for candy canes.
But enough about me! I want to take a moment to remind you about the true meaning of Christmas. Do you know what it is? It’s the day we celebrate the birth of Jesus Christ, the Savior of the world. His birth was foretold by prophets centuries before it happened, and it was a miraculous event that brought joy and hope to all who heard about it.
As someone who has been around for hundreds of years, I’ve seen a lot of Christmases come and go. But one thing that never changes is the joy that comes from knowing the reason for the season. The birth of Jesus is a reminder that God loves us so much that He sent His only Son to save us from sin and death.
When you think about all the presents and decorations and food that come with Christmas, it’s easy to forget about the incredible miracle that happened over 2,000 years ago. But I hope that this year, you’ll take some time to think about the true meaning of Christmas and what it means for you personally.
So, my dear Hope, I encourage you to read the story of Jesus’ birth in the Bible. It can be found in the book of Luke, chapter 2. And as you celebrate Christmas this year, remember that the greatest gift of all came in a humble manger in Bethlehem – Jesus Christ, our Lord and Savior.
I wish you all the best this holiday season and always.
Merry Christmas – The Savior is Born,
Santa
