A letter to Charlie from Santa with 251 days until Christmas

Dear Charlie,

Merry Christmas! I hope this letter finds you doing well and getting excited for the holiday season. Christmas is my favorite time of year and I am so happy to be able to spread joy to all the children of the world, including you!

Now, let me tell you a little bit about myself. I am sure you already know that I live at the North Pole, but did you know that I have a team of elves that help me make all of the presents that we deliver around the world on Christmas Eve? They are some of the hardest-working individuals you will ever meet! And as for myself, I love milk and cookies, but my favorite treat to snack on is actually candy canes. And between you and me, I may or may not have trouble saying no to a plate of freshly baked cookies.

Speaking of jokes about Santa, I have one for you. What do you get when you cross a snowman and a shark? Frostbite! (I know, I know… it’s corny, but it always makes me chuckle!)

But Charlie, as much as I love delivering presents and spreading joy, I want to remind you of the true meaning of Christmas. It’s not just about the presents, the decorations, or the food. It’s about Jesus, the Savior that was born on that holy night over 2,000 years ago. In the book of Luke, it says, “For unto you is born this day in the city of David a Savior, who is Christ the Lord” (Luke 2:11). Jesus came to Earth to save us from our sins and give us eternal life. That is the true gift of Christmas and the reason we celebrate.

So, as you enjoy this holiday season with your family and friends, don’t forget about the true meaning of Christmas. Remember the love and sacrifice Jesus made for us and let that fill your heart with joy and peace.
