A letter to Bob from The Grinch with 263 days until Christmas

Print Friendly, PDF & Email

Dear Bob,

Greetings! It’s me, The Grinch. I know you might think I’m a grumpy old creature, but I assure you, I can be a lot of fun too. Did you know I can play the guitar really well? I also love to sing, especially when no one is around. Oh, and I’m pretty good at baking too. My specialty is a tasty spinach and mushroom quiche. How about that for a Grinch secret, eh?

I’ve also got a good joke for you. Why did the Grinch rob the bank? Because he wanted to be the richest creature in Whoville! Ha! See, I have a sense of humor too.

But Bob, as much fun as I am, I want to tell you about the true meaning of Christmas as found in the Bible. It’s not about gifts or presents, but about a precious gift that was given to us. A little baby born in a manger, who grew up to be the savior of the world. Jesus came to bring hope, peace, love, and forgiveness to all who believe in him. Christmas is a time to celebrate his birth and to show kindness and compassion to others.

So, let’s not be so focused on the material things this holiday season, but let’s remember the true meaning of Christmas. May your heart be filled with love, joy, and peace, and may you share that with everyone you meet.

I wish you a Merry Christmas, Bob. May your heart grow in love.

Sincerely,

The Grinch

P.S. “For unto us a child is born, unto us a son is given: and the government shall be upon his shoulder: and his name shall be called Wonderful, Counsellor, The mighty God, The everlasting Father, The Prince of Peace.” – Isaiah 9:6
