1. Moses: Insecurities about Leadership (Exodus 4:10-14)
Moses was called by God to lead the Israelites out of Egypt, but he didn’t feel confident in himself. He felt insecure about his speaking abilities and asked God to send someone else. God reminded him that He is the one who would enable him to speak and lead the people.
2. Peter: Insecurities about Forgiveness (Matthew 26:69-75)
Peter was one of Jesus’ closest disciples, but in the moment of Jesus’ arrest, he denied knowing Him three times. He struggled with insecurity about his own forgiveness, but Jesus later restored him and showed him that his past mistakes did not define him.
3. Gideon: Insecurities about Abilities (Judges 6:11-16)
Gideon was called by God to lead the Israelites in battle against the Midianites, but he felt insecure about his own abilities. He doubted that he could accomplish the task, but God reminded him that He would be with him and empower him to succeed.
4. Sarah: Insecurities about Motherhood (Genesis 18:9-15)
Sarah was deeply insecure about her inability to bear children, especially since it was a very important cultural expectation at the time. But God miraculously provided her with a son, Isaac, and showed her that His plans were bigger and better than her own insecurities.
