1. The story of Moses and the Israelites’ deliverance from slavery in Egypt (Exodus 1-14)
God heard the cries of his people and raised up Moses to lead them out of slavery in Egypt. Through a series of miraculous plagues, God showed his power and delivered his people from bondage. The Israelites crossed the Red Sea on dry land and were delivered to freedom.
2. The story of Daniel in the lion’s den (Daniel 6)
Daniel, a faithful servant of God, was thrown into a den of lions as punishment for his devotion to God. God protected Daniel and sent an angel to shut the mouths of the lions, delivering him from certain death.
3. The story of Jonah and the great fish (Jonah 1-2)
Jonah was a disobedient prophet who refused to follow God’s commands. God sent a great storm and eventually a giant fish to bring Jonah back on track. After being trapped inside the fish for three days, Jonah repented and was delivered from his disobedience.
4. The story of Peter’s escape from prison (Acts 12:1-19)
Peter was arrested by King Herod and kept in prison, awaiting trial. The church prayed fervently for his deliverance, and God sent an angel to release Peter from his chains and lead him out of the prison undetected. Peter was delivered from his imprisonment and returned to preaching the gospel.
