1. Cain and Abel – In the book of Genesis, Cain becomes angry when God shows favoritism towards his brother Abel’s offering over his own. As a result, Cain murders Abel in a fit of rage.
2. Moses and the Golden Calf – When Moses is up on Mount Sinai receiving the Ten Commandments, the Israelites become impatient and create a golden calf to worship. When Moses discovers this, he becomes enraged and throws the stone tablets, breaking them.
3. Jonah and the City of Nineveh – In the book of Jonah, the prophet becomes angry with God for sparing the wicked city of Nineveh after they repent. Jonah feels that they deserved punishment and becomes angry with God’s mercy.
4. Jesus Cleanses the Temple – In the Gospels, Jesus enters the temple and becomes angry at the money changers and merchants who are selling goods within its walls. He overturns their tables and drives them out, declaring that his Father’s house should be a house of prayer, not a marketplace.
