Similarly, the Bible also speaks to the importance of friendship. Proverbs 18:24 states, “A man of many companions may come to ruin, but there is a friend who sticks closer than a brother.” This verse suggests that having a few true friends who are loyal and dependable is ultimately more important than having many shallow connections. The Bible also emphasizes the value of selfless love and kindness in our friendships, as seen in John 15:13 which states, “Greater love has no one than this: to lay down one’s life for one’s friends.”
