Exodus 34:6 — The Lord passed in front of Moses, calling out, “Yahweh! The Lord! The God of compassion and mercy! I am slow to anger and filled with unfailing love and faithfulness.
Psalm 86:5 — O Lord, you are so good, so ready to forgive, so full of unfailing love for all who ask for your help.
Psalm 103:8-10 — The Lord is compassionate and merciful, slow to get angry and filled with unfailing love. He will not constantly accuse us, nor remain angry forever. He does not punish us for all our sins; he does not deal harshly with us, as we deserve.
Isaiah 54:10 — For the mountains may move and the hills disappear, but even then my faithful love for you will remain. My covenant of blessing will never be broken,” says the Lord, who has mercy on you.
Lamentations 3:22-23 — The faithful love of the Lord never ends! His mercies never cease. Great is his faithfulness; his mercies begin afresh each morning.
Micah 7:18-19 — Where is another God like you, who pardons the guilt of the remnant, overlooking the sins of his special people? You will not stay angry with your people forever, because you delight in showing unfailing love. Once again you will have compassion on us. You will trample our sins under your feet and throw them into the depths of the ocean!
Matthew 5:7 — God blesses those who are merciful, for they will be shown mercy.
Luke 6:36 — You must be compassionate, just as your Father is compassionate.
Ephesians 2:4-5 — But God is so rich in mercy, and he loved us so much, that even though we were dead because of our sins, he gave us life when he raised Christ from the dead. (It is only by God’s grace that you have been saved!)
James 2:13 — There will be no mercy for those who have not shown mercy to others. But if you have been merciful, God will be merciful when he judges you.
Genesis 19:16 — When Lot still hesitated, the angels seized his hand and the hands of his wife and two daughters and rushed them to safety outside the city, for the Lord was merciful.
Exodus 2:24-25 — God heard their groaning, and he remembered his covenant promise to Abraham, Isaac, and Jacob. He looked down on the people of Israel and knew it was time to act.
Luke 10:33-34 — “Then a despised Samaritan came along, and when he saw the man, he felt compassion for him. Going over to him, the Samaritan soothed his wounds with olive oil and wine and bandaged them. Then he put the man on his own donkey and took him to an inn, where he took care of him.
John 8:10-11 — Then Jesus stood up again and said to the woman, “Where are your accusers? Didn’t even one of them condemn you?” “No, Lord,” she said. And Jesus said, “Neither do I. Go and sin no more.”
Ephesians 4:32 — Instead, be kind to each other, tenderhearted, forgiving one another, just as God through Christ has forgiven you.
