Standing Firm in Faith
Ephesians 6:13 — Therefore put on the full armor of God, so that when the day of evil comes, you may be able to stand your ground, and after you have done everything, to stand.
1 Corinthians 16:13 — Be on your guard; stand firm in the faith; be courageous; be strong.
Philippians 1:27 — Whatever happens, conduct yourselves in a manner worthy of the gospel of Christ. Then, whether I come and see you or only hear about you in my absence, I will know that you stand firm in the one Spirit, striving together as one for the faith of the gospel.
Trusting God Alone
Psalm 62:6 — Truly he is my rock and my salvation; he is my fortress, I will not be shaken.
Isaiah 41:10 — So do not fear, for I am with you; do not be dismayed, for I am your God. I will strengthen you and help you; I will uphold you with my righteous right hand.
Proverbs 3:5-6 — Trust in the Lord with all your heart and lean not on your own understanding; in all your ways submit to him, and he will make your paths straight.
Rejecting Other Allegiances
Joshua 24:15 — But if serving the Lord seems undesirable to you, then choose for yourselves this day whom you will serve… but as for me and my household, we will serve the Lord.
1 John 5:21 — Dear children, keep yourselves from idols.
Matthew 6:24 — No one can serve two masters. Either you will hate the one and love the other, or you will be devoted to the one and despise the other. You cannot serve both God and money.
Standing Firm in Faith
Ephesians 6:13 — Therefore, put on all of God’s armor so that when the evil day comes, you will be able to resist the enemy’s attacks. And after the battle, you will still be standing firm.
