God's Mercy Towards Us
Psalm 103:8-12 — The Lord is compassionate and merciful; he is patient and demonstrates great loyal love. He does not always accuse, and does not stay angry. He does not deal with us as our sins deserve; he does not repay us as our misdeeds deserve. For as the skies are high above the earth, so his loyal love towers over his faithful followers. As far as the eastern horizon is from the west, so he removes the guilt of our rebellious actions from us.
Ephesians 2:4-5 — But God, being rich in mercy, because of his great love with which he loved us, even though we were dead in offenses, made us alive together with Christ—by grace you are saved!—

The Nature of Mercy
Lamentations 3:22-23 — The Lord’s loyal kindness never ceases; his compassions never end. They are fresh every morning; your faithfulness is abundant!
Micah 6:8 — He has told you, O man, what is good, and what the Lord really wants from you: He wants you to carry out justice, to love faithfulness, and to live obediently before your God.
