The Nature of Love
1 Corinthians 13:4 — Love suffereth long, and is kind; love envieth not; love vaunteth not itself, is not puffed up,
1 Corinthians 13:5 — Doth not behave itself unseemly, seeketh not her own, is not easily provoked, thinketh no evil;
1 Corinthians 13:6 — Rejoiceth not in iniquity, but rejoiceth in the truth;
1 Corinthians 13:7 — Beareth all things, believeth all things, hopeth all things, endureth all things.
The Commandment of Love
John 13:34 — A new commandment I give unto you, That ye love one another; as I have loved you, that ye also love one another.
John 15:12 — This is my commandment, That ye love one another, as I have loved you.
Romans 13:10 — Love worketh no ill to his neighbour: therefore love is the fulfilling of the law.
God's Love for Us
Romans 5:8 — But God commendeth his love toward us, in that, while we were yet sinners, Christ died for us.
1 John 4:9 — In this was manifested the love of God toward us, because that God sent his only begotten Son into the world, that we might live through him.
1 John 4:16 — And we have known and believed the love that God hath to us. God is love; and he that dwelleth in love dwelleth in God, and God in him.
Love and Fear
1 John 4:18 — There is no fear in love; but perfect love casteth out fear: because fear hath torment. He that feareth is not made perfect in love.
