Rooted in Faith, Stronger than Hate – Psalm 52
Verse 1:
Why do you boast of evil, you mighty man of hate?
Your tongue is like a razor, cutting with each debate.
You love evil more than good, falsehood more than truth.
Your words are like a weapon, destroying all in youth.
Chorus:
But we are rooted in faith, stronger than hate.
Our hope is not in this world, but in our God who is great.
We will trust in His unfailing love, and His justice will prevail.
We are rooted in faith, stronger than hate, we will not fail.
Verse 2:
God will bring you down, and tear you from your throne.
He will uproot you, and leave you all alone.
The righteous will see and fear, and will laugh at your demise.
They will say, "Look at the man who did not make God his prize."
Chorus:
But we are rooted in faith, stronger than hate.
Our hope is not in this world, but in our God who is great.
We will trust in His unfailing love, and His justice will prevail.
We are rooted in faith, stronger than hate, we will not fail.
Bridge:
We will not be shaken, by the evil in this world.
We will stand firm, with our banner unfurled.
For our God is with us, and His love will endure.
We will be rooted in faith, and our hope will be sure.
Chorus:
But we are rooted in faith, stronger than hate.
Our hope is not in this world, but in our God who is great.
We will trust in His unfailing love, and His justice will prevail.
We are rooted in faith, stronger than hate, we will not fail.
