Transformation through Kindness – a Titus 3 Story
Once there was a man named Jack, who lived in a small town surrounded by a lush forest. Jack was known to be a rude and unkind person, always looking for ways to benefit himself. He would never lend a hand to anyone in need, and people generally avoided him.
One day, Jack was walking towards his house when he saw a group of children playing football in the street. He noticed that one of the children, a little girl, was sitting alone on the sidewalk, crying. Jack approached her and asked her what was wrong.
The little girl explained that she had lost her ball in the nearby forest, and her friends had left her alone. Jack could see the desperation on her face and decided to help. He went into the forest with the girl and searched for the ball. After some time, they found it stuck in a thorny bush. Jack carefully took the ball out and gave it to the little girl. She hugged him and thanked him.
That small act of kindness had a significant impact on Jack. He felt a sense of satisfaction he had never felt before. From that day, Jack started to help people around him. He would carry groceries for the elderly, help children with their homework, and even mow lawns for his neighbors. People were surprised to see the change in him and started to approach him.
One day, Pastor Mark from the local church visited Jack and invited him to attend the Sunday service. Jack hesitated at first, but after some persuasion, he agreed to attend. During the service, Pastor Mark read a passage from Titus 3, which spoke about the kindness and love that Christians should show towards others. Jack was touched by the message and decided to turn his life around. He started to attend church regularly and became an active member of the community.
Jack’s transformation did not go unnoticed. People were amazed to see the change in him and started to approach him for help and advice. He became known as the kind and generous person who was always willing to lend a hand.
In conclusion, Titus 3 speaks about the transformation that comes through the kindness and love of Christ. It teaches us that by showing kindness towards others, we can change lives and make a difference in the world. As it says in Titus 3:4-5, "But when the kindness and love of God our Savior appeared, he saved us, not because of righteous things we had done, but because of his mercy. He saved us through the washing of rebirth and renewal by the Holy Spirit."
