New Heaven, New Earth: A Glorious Revelation 21 Story

In the year 2050, the world was in a state of chaos. Pollution, war, and disease had ravaged the planet, leaving many people hopeless and despairing. But then, something miraculous happened. The sky opened up, and a brilliant light shone down upon the earth. Suddenly, the air cleared, and the land was healed. Everyone looked up in amazement, wondering what was happening.

As they gazed upward, a voice spoke to them. "Behold, I am making all things new," it declared. The people were stunned. Was this a dream or a vision? They soon realized that it was neither. For before them stood a great city, resplendent in the light of the sun. It was New Jerusalem, the city of God.

The people were invited to enter the city, and they found themselves in a place of indescribable beauty. The streets were made of pure gold, and the walls were encrusted with precious jewels. There was no need for the sun or the moon, for the glory of God illuminated everything.

As they explored the city, they were greeted by many people who had passed away. These were the saints of God, who had been resurrected to live forever in this new world. They were overjoyed to see their loved ones again, and they welcomed them with open arms.

The inhabitants of the city lived in perfect harmony, for there was no more sickness, pain, or death. They spent their days in worship and fellowship, enjoying the presence of God and each other. There was no need for money or possessions, for everything was provided by God.

One day, a voice spoke again. "Behold, I am coming soon," it declared. The people knew that this was the voice of Jesus, and they eagerly awaited his return. They longed for the day when he would come and take them to be with him forever.

As they waited, they continued to live in the joy and peace of God’s presence. They knew that their future was secure, and that they would never again experience the pain and sorrow of the past. For in this new heaven and new earth, God had wiped away every tear from their eyes.

Revelation 21:4 NIV – "He will wipe every tear from their eyes. There will be no more death or mourning or crying or pain, for the old order of things has passed away."
