Gods Protection from Evil Monsters

Possible Viewpont: Evangelical Christian

Title: God’s Protection from Evil Monsters
Target Audience: Young Children

Introduction:
Hello, boys and girls! Today, we are going to talk about monsters and fear. Have you ever been scared of monsters under your bed or in your closet? Monsters are make-believe creatures that some people use to scare others. But did you know that there are real monsters in the world too? These monsters are called evil spirits, and they can be very scary. But don’t worry, because God is here to protect us from them.

Bible Story:
In the Bible, there is a story of a man named Daniel who was thrown into a den of hungry lions. The king of the land had made a law that no one was allowed to pray to any other gods except him, but Daniel refused to obey. He continued to pray to God even though it was against the law. And when he was thrown into the lion’s den, God sent an angel to shut the lion’s mouths so they wouldn’t eat him. Daniel was safe because he trusted in God’s protection.

Application:
Just like Daniel, we can trust in God’s protection from evil monsters. When you are scared at night, or if something is bothering you, remember that God is always with you. You can pray to him and ask for his protection. He will send his angels to watch over you and keep you safe.

Memory Verse:
Psalm 34:7 says, “The angel of the Lord encamps around those who fear him, and he delivers them.”

Conclusion:
So, boys and girls, don’t be afraid of monsters. God is bigger and stronger than any monster, and he will protect you. Remember the story of Daniel and how he trusted in God’s protection. You can do the same thing. Whenever you are afraid, pray to God and ask for his help. He loves you and wants to keep you safe.

Object Lesson

Props:

– A toy shield
– A stuffed animal monster
– A flashlight or lamp
– A picture of Jesus

How to present the illustration:

1. Begin by introducing the topic of monsters and fear. Ask the children if they have ever been afraid of monsters, either real or imaginary.
2. Show them the stuffed animal monster and ask if it looks scary.
3. Explain that sometimes in life, we face scary things that try to hurt us or make us afraid. But as children of God, we have protection and don’t have to be afraid.
4. Show them the toy shield and explain that just like knights have shields to protect them in battle, God also gives us protection from evil monsters.
5. Turn off the lights and use the flashlight or lamp to cast spooky shadows on the wall. Explain that sometimes the darkness can make things seem scarier than they actually are, but with God’s protection, we don’t have to be afraid of the dark or the monsters that might lurk there.
6. Show them the picture of Jesus and explain that Jesus is the ultimate protector. When we have faith in Him, we can trust that He will always be with us and keep us safe from harm.
7. End by reassuring the children that they don’t have to face their fears alone, but can turn to God for protection and comfort.

Craft Idea

Craft: Monster Repellent Spray Bottles

Objective: To help young evangelical Christian children understand that God offers protection and safety from evil monsters through prayer.

Supplies:
– Spray bottles
– Labels that say “Monster Repellent Spray” (can be printed or handwritten)
– Glue
– Colored pipe cleaners
– Googly eyes
– Pom-poms
– Glitter (optional)
– Water

Directions:

1. Begin by gathering all supplies and laying them out on a table.
2. Give each child a spray bottle and a label, and have them glue the label onto their bottle.
3. Next, let the children choose pipe cleaners, googly eyes, and pom-poms to create their own unique monster for the front of the bottle.
4. Encourage them to get creative and decorate their monster in any way they wish.
5. Once the children have created their monster, they can add glitter to the bottle for extra effect (optional).
6. Fill each bottle with water and screw on the top.
7. As you distribute the bottles, let the children know that these are not just regular bottles of water. They are “Monster Repellent Spray Bottles” that will protect them from any fears or worries they may have about monsters or dark places.
8. Encourage the children to pray with their families and use their monster repellent spray when they need protection from evil monsters.
9. End with a prayer, thanking God for his protection and love, and asking for continued safety from any scary things in their lives.

Note: For younger children or children with sensory differences you can modify the activity by having pre-made, simple monsters with limited or no supplies to create one and also, as an alternative to spray bottles, a calming jar or bottle can be used as Monster Repellent jars, calming the person down and encouraging them to pray.
