As an evangelical Christian, I believe that life is a precious gift from God. It is an opportunity for us to glorify Him and to fulfill the purpose that He has for us. Life is also temporary. The Bible tells us that our lives are like a vapor that appears for a little while and then vanishes away (James 4:14). This is a reminder to us that we should not put our hope in this world or in the things of this world, but rather in God and His eternal kingdom (Matthew 6:19-21). We are called to live our lives with an eternal perspective, knowing that our time on this earth is limited and that we will one day stand before God to give an account for how we lived.
