As an Evangelical Christian, I believe that God is eternal and timeless. He has always existed and will always exist, and as such, it doesn’t make sense to describe Him as old or young. He exists outside of time and space, and so the concept of age doesn’t really apply to Him in the same way it does to us.
In Psalm 90:2, it says, “Before the mountains were born or you brought forth the whole world, from everlasting to everlasting you are God.” This verse tells us that God has always been and always will be. He is not subject to the limitations of time or age.
Additionally, the Bible describes God as the Alpha and the Omega, the beginning and the end. In Revelation 22:13, it says, “I am the Alpha and the Omega, the First and the Last, the Beginning and the End.” This further emphasizes the eternal nature of God.
While we may use the word “old” to describe things that have been around for a long time, it’s important to remember that God exists outside of our understanding of time and age. He is the great I AM, and He always has been and always will be.
