a Matthew 26:17-30 poem

In the last supper was our Lord,
He broke bread, and gave thanks once more,
“Take, eat; this is my body broken for thee,”
Thus he left us a sacred memory.

Then, he lifted the cup of wine,
Saying, “Drink ye all, for it is mine,
This is the cup of the new covenant,
Poured for the remission of sin’s payment.”

He blessed and broke, shared and led,
The ones with him in this solemn spread,
“Verily I say, one of you shall betray me,”
And Judas withdrew, to bring about his destiny.

Let us remember this day with awe,
The love of Christ in whom we saw,
The sacrifice that he made for us all,
So that on him we can always call.

a Matthew 26:17-30 limerick

In Matthew 26, we do see
Jesus sharing a meal with glee
But as they did dine
He said, “One of mine
Will betray me, oh woe is me!”

a Matthew 26:17-30 rap

Verse 1:
It’s the beginning of the feast, Passover’s here
Jesus and his disciples, they draw near
He tells them get ready, we’re going to dine
Gather ’round y’all, this is gonna be divine

Chorus:
Matthew 26:17-30, the last supper scene
Jesus broke the bread, passed the cup, lived like a king
Judah’s betrayal, we all know the story
But through Jesus’ love and sacrifice, we find glory

Verse 2:
Jesus takes the bread, gives thanks and breaks
Says “this is my body, for all sakes”
Gives to the disciples, take and eat
A reminder of his love, forever we’ll keep

Chorus:
Matthew 26:17-30, the last supper scene
Jesus broke the bread, passed the cup, lived like a king
Judah’s betrayal, we all know the story
But through Jesus’ love and sacrifice, we find glory

Verse 3:
Then, Jesus took the cup, gave thanks again
Said “this is my blood, shed for your sin”
Gave to each of them, all must drink
Represents the new covenant, in him we link

Chorus:
Matthew 26:17-30, the last supper scene
Jesus broke the bread, passed the cup, lived like a king
Judah’s betrayal, we all know the story
But through Jesus’ love and sacrifice, we find glory

Outro:
Matthew 26:17-30, a tale so true
Jesus’ final moments, for me and you
His love and grace, never-ending
Our lives forever, he’s always mending.
