Ezra 1, oh what a tale
Cyrus the king did prevail
To rebuild the Lord’s holy place
He sent the Jews to their rightful space
Gold and silver to adorn the walls
Every provision for the temple halls
This decree from Cyrus did show
The Lord’s mighty hand in full glow
In Ezra 1 we find quite a feat,
With Jews returning back to the street,
They were allowed to rebuild,
Their temple so skilled,
And that’s what we call a righteous beat!

Listen up, y’all, I got a story to tell
‘Bout a king named Cyrus, yeah, he ruled it well
Sent a message to his kingdom, said it loud and clear
Gave the Jews the green light to rebuild their temple here

So the people got ready, packed up their gear

With the help of the Lord, they finished that place
