In Third John, verse one,
Greetings from the chosen one,
To dear friend and chosen lady,
May God’s grace light your way daily.
Yo, listen up, I got a scripture to share
From the book of 3 John, chapter one, verse one, it’s there
John the elder, writing to Gaius
A message of love, not trying to try us
He speaks of truth, and walking in it
Not just hearing, but living it minute by minute
And the love he has for all his friends
Living a life that never really ends
He calls them his beloved, and they’re in his prayers
That they would prosper, and their souls would be spared
From the evils of the world, and those who deceive
And that they’d stand firm, in all that they believe
So heed this message, it’s as true today
As when John wrote it down, all those years ago, I say
Live out the truth, and love one another
And you’ll find peace, with God as your brother
Keep the faith, don’t give up, don’t fall
And you’ll be rewarded, with blessings for all
So let’s live out 3 John, chapter one, verse one
And walk in truth, until our race is run.
