In Ramathaim, there lived a man,
Named Elkanah, with two wives in his clan.
One was Hannah, who had no child,
While Peninnah had sons and daughters piled.
Year after year, they went to Shiloh to pray,
Hannah wept bitterly, seeking God’s way.
She promised a son to dedicate to the Lord,
And in due time, Samuel was born and adored.
Thus begins the story of 1 Samuel 1:1,
Of a woman’s faith, hope, and love in the Son.
In 1 Samuel 1:1 we read,
A man named Elkanah did plead,
For a child to inherit,
His name and his merit,
But his wife’s rival made it a three-egg breed.
Verse 1:
Listen up y’all, I’ve got a story to share
About a woman who was deeply in despair
Her name was Hannah, from Ramathaim Zophim
Married to Elkanah, couldn’t bear children
Chorus:
1 Samuel 1:1, a tale of hope and faith
Despite the struggle and pain, God is never late
So hold on tight, don’t lose your way
Your prayers will be answered, just trust and pray
Verse 2:
Year after year, she went to Shiloh to pray
Poured out her heart, asking God to make a way
Peninnah mocked her, made her feel ashamed
But Hannah didn’t give up, her faith remained

One day, Eli saw her praying silently
Assuming she was drunk, he rebuked her harshly
But Hannah explained her pain and longing
And Eli blessed her, saying God will do something

Eventually, Hannah conceived and gave birth
