I am a prophecy of judgment,
Against Edom’s treacherous ways,
My name is not commonly mentioned,
But my words still hold weight these days.
My message is short but powerful,
Only one chapter in length,
Yet it speaks of a nation’s downfall,
And their ultimate loss of strength.
I warn of the Day of the Lord,
When justice will finally prevail,
And all those who opposed His word,
Will see their plans and schemes fail.
Though I am small in size and scope,
My lessons continue to ring true,
Obadiah is my name, you must know,
And from the Bible, I come to you.
