I am a vision of strange creatures and symbols,
Of a man who ate scrolls and laid on his side for many moons.
My words are prophetic and mysterious,
And my message is one of judgment and hope.
In my pages, you will find a tale of a wheel in the middle of a wheel,
Of cherubim with four faces and wings that covered their bodies.
You will read of a valley of dry bones that come to life,
And a river that flows from the Temple of God.
My author was a priest and a prophet,
And his name means “God strengthens.”
He was taken into exile in Babylon and received visions there,
Warnings and assurances for his people, Israel.
What am I, this book of prophecies and enigmas,
That speaks of both destruction and restoration?
Look to me for insight into the nature of God,
And the destiny of his chosen people.
