I am a story that is not always easy to understand,
within my pages, prophecies are delicately planned.
Some regard me as a mystery, with a depth hard to grasp,
but those who know my secrets, understand my prophetic task.
Many a king has sought my wisdom, for interpreting their dreams,
and the Israelites of old, relied on my prophecies and themes.
I am a tale set in Babylon, full of visionary scenes,
I reveal the rise and fall of kingdoms, and offer hope in between.
My author was a prophet, with visions of beasts and kings,
he told of future empires, with their fearsome crowns and rings.
My contents are a call to action, a reminder to stay true,
and that God is ultimately in control, in all that we say and do.
So, can you guess my name, and the pages within my fold,
I am the book of Daniel, a mystery to unfold.
