With his mercy and grace, we have nothing to fear

The End

or what if Leviticus 1 was a play

Title: Sacrifice

  • Characters:
  • Levi – a priest
  • Abraham – a devout man
Levi stands in front of the altar, preparing to co-ordinate a sacrifice with Abraham by his side.

Levi: Thank you for coming here today, Abraham.

Abraham: I appreciate the opportunity to make a sacrifice to God.

Levi begins to explain the process of offering a burnt offering to the Lord from Leviticus 1.

Levi: You must bring a bull, without blemish, to the entrance of the tent of meeting. You shall lay your hand on the head of the burnt offering, and it shall be accepted for you to make atonement for you.

Abraham nods in understanding, and the two men move to lead the bull towards the altar.

As they lay their hands on the bull to be offered to God, Abraham bows his head in prayer.

Abraham: Lord, I offer this sacrifice to you in gratitude for your love and mercy.

Levi lights the fire on the altar, and the bull starts to burn. A strong and sweet fragrance fills the air.

Levi: Our offering to the Lord has been made.

Abraham: Thank you for guiding me in this, Levi.

Levi leads Abraham away from the altar, and the two men depart.
