The Unfruitful Fig Tree – iPhone Remix…

a Remix of the Parable found in Luke 13:6-9

The Parable of the Unfruitful iPhone

A man purchased an iPhone and was excited to use it to its fullest potential. He expected it to perform all of the tasks that he needed it to do. However, after several days of usage, he noticed that it was not functioning as he had hoped.

He tried to troubleshoot the iPhone on his own, but it remained unfruitful. He even asked others for help, but still, his iPhone was unproductive.

After much thought, the man decided to take it to the Apple store to have it examined. There, the technician discovered that the iPhone was not properly programmed and needed a software update.

As the technician worked, the man realized that just like the tree that did not produce fruit, his iPhone had the potential to be productive but was not fulfilling its purpose. And with the software updates, the iPhone could reach its full potential.

In the same way, people have the potential to fulfill their purpose but may need updates, corrections or help to unleash it efficiently. We should never rush to abandon a person just as the man did not give up on the iPhone, but rather provide them with the help needed to grow and unlock their potential.

the Original Parable found in Luke 13:6-9 (KJV)

He spake also this parable; A certain man had a fig tree planted in his vineyard; and he came and sought fruit thereon, and found none. Then said he unto the dresser of his vineyard, Behold, these three years I come seeking fruit on this fig tree, and find none: cut it down; why cumbereth it the ground? And he answering said unto him, Lord, let it alone this year also, till I shall dig about it, and dung it: And if it bear fruit, well: and if not, then after that thou shalt cut it down.
