The Unfruitful Fig Tree – a Chevy Truck Remix…

a Remix of the Parable found in Luke 13:6-9

Once there was a man who owned a Chevy truck, which had been in his possession for many years. Every year, he would inspect the truck, check the engine, and shine it until it sparkled. However, despite all his efforts, the truck never seemed to produce a single fruit.

One year, the man became frustrated with the Chevy truck’s lack of productivity and ordered it to be taken away. But, the mechanic pleaded with him, saying, “Sir, let me work on the engine and change the tires, and I will make it run like new again.”

The man, intrigued, decided to give the Chevy truck another chance. After working on the engine for weeks, the mechanic produced a smooth-running, reliable vehicle that produced plenty of fruits. The man was impressed and praised the mechanic, vowing to never let the Chevy truck go unattended again.

The moral of this parable is that even unproductive things like a Chevy truck can be given new life and purpose with a little bit of hard work and dedication. Rather than giving up on unfruitful endeavors, we should strive to improve them and make them successful.

the Original Parable found in Luke 13:6-9 (KJV)

He spake also this parable; A certain man had a fig tree planted in his vineyard; and he came and sought fruit thereon, and found none. Then said he unto the dresser of his vineyard, Behold, these three years I come seeking fruit on this fig tree, and find none: cut it down; why cumbereth it the ground? And he answering said unto him, Lord, let it alone this year also, till I shall dig about it, and dung it: And if it bear fruit, well: and if not, then after that thou shalt cut it down.
