Once, there was a prosperous Gorilla who had a large and flourishing jungle. One day, the Gorilla decided that his jungle was not big enough to contain all of his wealth, so he began to plan and dream of building new, grander bamboo homes for himself, leaving his loyal troop of gorillas behind.
He thought long and hard about his plan and finally decided to build bigger and better homes without much regard for the well-being of his troop. He told himself that he would be happy and content once he had built his bigger and better homes.
However, while he was busy building his new bamboo homes, he failed to notice that his troop of gorillas were starting to suffer. They were struggling to find food and shelter while their leader was focused on himself.
One day, the Gorilla finished his grand project, but before he could even enjoy his new homes, he suddenly fell ill and died. His effort spent on his new bamboo homes was all for nothing, and his troop was left without a leader.
This parable reminds us that life is unpredictable and we should focus on building what counts. Good relationships, kindness, and care for others bring true happiness that extends beyond our years. We should not be greedy and put ourselves first, but instead seek to serve others and make the world a better place.
