Once upon a time, there was a mother who wanted to have a baby. She prepared the nursery, bought clothes and toys, and waited with great excitement for her baby to arrive.
One day, the baby was born. It was small and fragile, needing constant care and attention. The mother fed the baby, changed its diaper, rocked it to sleep, and watched it grow slowly every day.
Just like the baby, the Word of God is like a seed that grows slowly and steadily. It needs nurturing and care, just like the mother did for her baby. The seed of faith may start small, but with time and patience, it grows and becomes a mighty tree.
The mother watched as her baby grew stronger and more independent every day. Eventually, the baby learned to crawl, then walk, and eventually run. Similarly, our faith grows stronger as we continue to read God’s Word and follow His teachings.
And just like the mother’s joy when she sees her baby’s progress, so too does God rejoice when he sees His children’s faith growing stronger every day. So, let us not give up on nurturing the seed of faith, but instead continue to tend to it as a mother does to her baby.
